Best Bolognese


So good, so quick, so easy.


Ingredients:

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 large brown onion

2 carrots

1-2 zucchini

2 celery sticks

2 teaspoons of salt

1 kg ground beef or chicken/turkey mince

4 cloves of garlic

1 teaspoon paprika powder

1/8 teaspoon cinnamon powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

2 tablespoons Tamari or soy sauce

1 teaspoon fish sauce (optional)

2 bay leaves

1 piece of Parmesan rind (optional)

2 x 400 ml cans chopped tomatoes

1 x 400 ml can of lentils (optional)


Method:

Rough chop all the veg, onion, garlic, and place into food processor.

Blitz until finely diced/chopped

Instant Pot to Saute, add olive oil, and chopped veg, cook/stir for 7 minutes

Add meat mince, spices, salt, and sauces; break up meat while it browns for 7 minutes.

Add canned tomatoes, and Parmesan rind, stir well.

Turn off Instant Pot Saute, secure lid and seal valve.

Set high pressure to 15 minutes.

Quick or natural release after 15 minutes.

If sauce is too thin, set Pot to Saute and stir until thicker
