Fitbit for the fat bits...

(This is not me, I am not her. But. She's getting fit, and my life feels upside down most days. So...)

To Apple watch or not to apple watch, that is the question. Is a smart watch a smart idea, or just something to make you more stressed about - know your WRIST vibrates too - GREAT.

Postpartum life has me wanted to get back into fitness but lack of sleep and routine is gently reminding me to go easy on myself too. So I bought a Fitbit, and I have to say, I love it.

The FitBit Inspire turns out to be exactly what I need right now. It counts my steps, which gently nudges me to try for 10,000 a day. It displays my text messages and calendar reminders for an easy read, which is beyond helpful when I'm pushing the pram, uphill, both ways. And it tells me how (poorly) I'm sleeping, which at this stage, with a newborn, I just find comical. Although as a beautiful put it, it reminds her when she needs to apply more self care after a night of less sleep. What a great idea.

The Fitbit, or 'fat bit' as my husband has lovingly called it is just enough and not too much for me. Every week or two I plug my weight into the app on my phone and that feels good too. The heart rate counter is icing on the cake (hello exertion and stress levels.) I'd love to know what you think, do you have a fitness watch or a smart one?
