'Gut'. 'Guts'. I digress. These are the notes from a talk I went to at the Golden Door Hunter Valley from Lee herself, of Superchargedfood.com. Her story was incredible, and one you can surely read about on her site or in her books. My quick notes from that night:
Dahl Recipe is supposed to be amazing.
Banana Flour pancakes
Chicken crock pot w/ 25 garlic cloves (I'll try to find the recipe.)
Tired after eating - could mean good/bad flora are out of whack.
Treating inflammation in the gut can improve anxiety & depression.
Diversity of foods is key.
8pm or 9pm bedtime for better gut health (who knew!)
- Dinner at 6pm, then breakfast at 10am.
Cumin or saffron tea with lime before sleep is helpful.
Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) - 1 tsp in water 5-10 before eating aids digestion etc
Colostrum is for building healthy gut (like the "soil" of a plant.)
Celery has high pesticides, buy organic.
"The Medical Medium" - don't remember but Google it maybe?
4 Stages to Gut Health: Feed, Weed, Seed, & Lead.
Feed: 4 weeks of smoothies, soups, etc
Weed: Oil Pulling & Tongue Scraping, Epsom Salt Baths
Seed: 2 days a week (ie Mon & Thur) don't eat any raw food.
DO: Bone broths, soups, stews, etc. Dandelion tea.
Avoid: alcohol, gluten, dairy, sugar, caffeine (coffee is very acidic + lots of chemicals)
Majoora black tea, Dilmas teas, Rooibos teas are good.
Leaks & peas are high in fiber.
Dandelion greens
Sauerkraut / Kefir / Kimchi all have good bacteria
